On April 24, 2024, the workshop on “Comparative Climate Adaptation” was held online. The National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) of the United States and the Fudan Institute for Global Public Policy (IGPP) cohosted the workshop.
The workshop was moderated by Daniel Guttman, a fellow of NAPA and an adjunct professor of IGPP. The participants included experts and scholars from NAPA, IGPP, the LSE-Fudan Research Centre for Global Public Policy, and the Fudan-Arab Research Centre for Global Development and Governance. Scholars and practitioners from around the world, particularly from Africa, also attended the workshop.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions by comparing climate adaptation policies and practices from different regions. They explored a range of effective strategies and methods to advance research on global climate adaptation and sustainable development. The Comparative Climate Adaptation workshop provided a valuable platform for global climate governance, fostering collaboration and research across nations and institutions. It offered new insights and directions for addressing the challenges of climate change.
